It is compulsory for all students to have 80% attendance to appear in both the Periodic Tests and Terminal Examinations.
Promotion to the next class will be based on the Four Evaluation cycles and the Syllabus for the whole year will be divided into four parts and each part will be assessed as per the following schedule:
I TERM
July : 25% of the whole syllabus mentioned in Text-Books.
Sept. : Next 25%
II TERM
Dec. : 25% of the left over syllabus mentioned in Text-Books.
March : Remaining 25%
The students would be assessed as per the following criteria:
I TERM
July : 30% of syllabus given in Text-Books.
Sept. : 50% of Syllabus given in Text-Books
II TERM
Dec. : 10% of I Term + remaining 40% syllabus given in Text-Books.
March : 10% of I Term + remaining 50% syllabus given in Text-Books.
All the chapters prescribed in the Text-Books would be divided into two equal parts and assessment would be held as per the following schedule.
I TERM
July : 30% of syllabus mentioned in Text-Books.
Sept. : 50% of Syllabus mentioned in Text-Books.
II TERM
Oct. to March : Remaining 50% of syllabus mentioned in Text-Book.
Class VI – 10% of I Term + remaining 50% of syllabus mentioned in text book.
Class VII – 20% of I Term + remaining 50% of syllabus mentioned in text book.
Class VIII – 30% of I Term + remaining 50% of syllabus mentioned in text book.
(For Classes I to X)
In Annual examination full Syllabus would be assessed in Maths and Languages (Grammar)
As per the CBSE Guidelines the whole syllabus would be equally divided into two parts and at the end of the Session the Annual Examination would be taken from the whole syllabus.
For Class X, a new pattern of assessment will follow having an internal assessment of 20% and 80% external assessment as weightage as notified by the CBSE.
For Class XI, a new pattern of assessment will follow having two components: Overall Assessment and Session Ending Assessment. Overall Assessment includes Periodic Tests and Half Yearly Examination. Year ending examination includes complete syllabus in theory and practical/project. The qualifying marks in each subject will be 33%. In a subject involving practical work a student must obtain 33% marks in theory and 33% marks in aggregate, in order to qualify in that subject. Existing provision of compartmental examination will remain the same.
For Class XII the Board will conduct the external examination at the end of Class XII.
